2First Steps with Wix
Today’s lesson will focus on building a style, brand, layout, and color scheme for your website that will show that you are professional, polished, and serious about getting and retaining new business. The key to having a winning website is to understand your target audience, figure out what others are doing - especially others who have achieved success in your chosen niche. This will give us some patterns or themes that will serve as the inspiration for the design work we are about to embark on.
Use Fiverr to hire a logo design firm.
Create a specification for your business - look for other sites that you want to create something similar to.

3Header and Logo Development
Now that our Logo is created, we can begin formulating the approach to designing our header and footer. Getting inspiration from other websites is key at this stage to save time and money learning what other people in your market place have had to figure out the hard way.

4Create the site outline, theme, and layout (plan your work and work your plan)
In the last video we setup the header section of our website. Today we delve into more of the details for each page. It always helps to begin any design work with a storyboard, basically some hand-sketches of what the site might look like. Creating some notes along the way. Again, using other websites for the best-practice ideas or inspiration is a really good strategy. Modify and make it your own but you can follow the basic concepts from some of your competitors. Choosing the font style is also important. Good website design sticks with a common theme throughout the website. Does each page begin with a banner or do you jump right into text? Are you sticking with stripes throughout or do you want to add some overlapping features or sinuous waves? You can also leverage boxes to your advantage - but mix things up, keep it interesting, and determine what type of information you want to organize throughout your site on paper first- then bring it to life on the website.

6Professional touch & integrating your affiliate products
In this video we are going to explore various affiliate networks that exist out there. Some are definitely better than others in terms of % commissions, conversion rates on those clicks, and what type of graphic packages/advertising material each of these network sites offers. That being said, what we are going to walk through today is by no means an exhaustive list. I suggest you begin by creating yourself a google spreadsheet and begin assembling a list of websites so you can keep track of which networks you are going to apply to become a part of. The sign-in process sometimes can take a few days to get approved, many are instant approvals. After we sign-up for several of these networks we will explore what 3 of them have to offer and how to take that information and embed it into your Wix website to profit.
We will also be spending a good deal of time polishing the site &Â making it ready for prime-time.
